Barrie Manufacturing Facility is looking for an Assembly Line Worker in the Compressor Department. Candidates must have previous experience with assembling, fitting, and installing prefabricated parts.
Key Responsibilities
Component Assembly: Assembling mechanical parts, subassemblies, and components, such as fitting pumps, motors, and electrical connections (cables, tubes, wires) into compressor units.
Using Specialized Tools: Operating hand tools, air tools, power tools, and lifting devices like overhead cranes to position heavy parts.
Quality Inspection: Checking mechanical parts for proper alignment and inspecting finished compressors for functionality, performance, and defects.
Maintenance & Cleaning: Maintaining a clean workspace and performing routine maintenance on tools and machines.
Safety Adherence: Following safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Experience with manufacturing tools and ability to read technical drawings.
Ability to collaborate with others to meet production schedules.
Work Environment
Fast-paced manufacturing plants or workshop environments.
Often involves working in teams on assembly lines or workstations.
Potential for shift work (day, evening, or night shifts)
